It took me a while to decide to purchase this bag and I am SO glad I finally did! I got the new green color and it is fabulous. I was looking for an everyday bag and this bag is absolutely PERFECT. Dont let the size fool you – it holds far more than you think it would and the design and pockets/compartments are great. My concern was that it cant be washed but I got the recommended wax just in case. And also someone handwrote a thank you on my order receipt for the wax which really made my day. 🙂 Definitely would recommend!

Its so cute very perfect for a college or school bag. it fits my laptop, ipad, hydro flask, folder, binder, and a few notebooks. its super compact and so cute. Im in love with my bag and so glad i was able to get one.

The outer material is very stiff and inner liner feels like plastic – unpleasant to touch and makes to much noise. The quality is excellent, too bad the materials used are so unappealing to have contact with.

Love this bag. I give it 4.8 stars. It would be 5 stars if the outer side pockets were elasticized (would make it easier to get water bottles in and out.) I’m using it to replace our diaper bag and it’s perfect for that purpose—lots of great inside pockets and compartments with two places to clip a wet bag on the outside. I initially ordered the terracotta which is a nice color but I’m exchanging for navy because I’m worried it will show dirt too easily.

I bought this for my wife when she admired the Raven 28 I had just purchased for myself. She is using it for work as a home health aid and really appreciates the many pockets for keeping her things organized and also that it is stylish and not institutional looking. She loves the port color too for its versatility. The size is adequate for her needs without excess bulk and holds its shape nicely regardless of how much she has in it.

Ive had this backpack since 2017 (plum color; port looks similar to it). It is incredibly comfortable and has been durable after all these years. I primarily use it for work, where its on the floor a lot, but it gets outdoor time as well. The color has not faded one bit. The details are all there: the pockets and many compartments are all the perfect size. Im so glad I invested nearly 8 years ago in this awesome pack!

The fit and size are just right for my daily commute to and from work, it holds practically everything that I need for work. The material is very durable I must add, it is well-sworn, has no visible loose stitches, and it feels great on my back. not too big and at the same time not too small.

My dream bag. Basically love at first touch. Wanted a raven bag about 7 years ago but at that time they did not have back ventilation. The new updates including the removable of flap of fabric covering the front zipper are all perfect. Buttery smooth zippers that you can open with one hand, Just the right amount of capacity and organization. Wish I had ordered one sooner. I’ve tried almost every edc bag out there. They’re always either too techy or too simple. The 28 liter is just alittle too much bag for me but it’s also amazing. Deck of cards in photo for size reference.
I’d say the capacity is just right for someone like me who doesn’t carry a full size laptop around EVER. And minimal carry needs. When I pack for a trip it’s also minimal. Just the clothes I’m wearing, pjs, toiletries, and another outfit. More than that you would want to get the bigger size, The Basalt color is just what I wanted too. Get this bag you won’t regret it

I purchased this bag a few months ago, in patina green, specifically for our day in Tikal, Petn, Guatemala and it did not disappoint. It had the perfect amount of pockets for pens, personal toiletries, extra battery packs, tripod, protein bars, water bottle, sun block, rain jacket, small towel, and other must have in case of items.
The two main compartments go deep for additional items, which I like to organize with packing cubes.
The backpack has now been upgraded as my travel back pack and it will also double as my work lap top back pack.
Reason for the 4 stars? Fjallraven absolutely needs to add a carry on sleeve. We traveled with a carry on and the bag got a bit heavy at times, I wish I could have set it down on the carry on. Thankfully, the craftsmanship makes it easy to carry with heavier items. I am barely at 5ft, and this bag fit perfect on my frame.
It would also be nice to see additional options to clip on carabiners, water bottles or your phone, built into the front of the straps.

I first received the Raven 20 in Dusk as a gift four years ago. I fell in love lightweight, durable, great style. It was never completely waterproof, even after several layers of wax, but its trim profile and capacious organization made it feel like a bag both smaller and larger than its size. I used it everyday for two years, until it developed a tear on the bottom, where the G-1000 failed; other reviewers have posted photos similar to what happened on mine. Fjallraven did a warranty repair, and the bottom lasted for two more years of travel, hiking, bike commuting, and photography work until it ripped again. The real problem, however, was the zipper on the smaller of the two large compartments kinked and then unthreaded from the bag. Support mentioned that a repair of this nature would be incredibly difficult to fix, and were generous enough to offer me a replacement Raven 20 in the new style. This new bag feels just as robust, and the mesh backer is a nice change from the previous models standard fabric. I miss my old style bag, but Im hopeful this new one will take me on as many adventures, though hopefully for more than just 4 years. Still, huge thanks to the Fjallraven support team. This is still my magic bag.

I often longboard around campus at my college, and one night, while I was riding back to my dorm room, I hit a pothole and fell off my board. I landed the backpack and slid on the asphalt for 8 to 10ft, after getting up, it looked like it barely took any damage, it also protected my laptop, which I keep in it as well. It is well made and durable, I have yet to run into an issue that I can’t get over.

The backpack itself is sturdy and good quality, perfect size for day trips. However with less than a year of light use one of the zippers failed when the slider fell apart in two pieces. Contacted customer support who said they would pass it along to a warranty specialist, but neither have replied after that. For an otherwise good quality product, they should be able to replace or repair the zippers since a broken zipper makes the product nonfunctional.
