I really like this backpack. I’m always searching for the perfect bag and this one comes pretty close! I love the feel of the G1000. I love the front slash pocket for storing something quick. I think it’s pretty comfortable (but it needs a chest strap) and I like the ample mesh pockets for storing small items. I like the large main pocket (28L) that should fit a packing cube pretty easily (I haven’t tried this, but it certainly **looks** like one of my cubes should fit.
Really, the only thing this bag is missing, and the reason why I wanted to leave this review, is because it’s missing a luggage pass-through on the back. If it did have one to slide over the handle of my 4 wheel roller, it would be 5 stars!

Used every day for few years, also on vacation. Still not found better. Perfect for the Office on the go. Have everything in your backpack organized and ready at hand. I
Top pocket essential, divided pockets f accessories. Space for laptop, IPad, headphones, clothes, battery pack, even toothbrush etc. for those long days out of office but working.
Even space for mittens and scarf when you choose a brisk walk and use time for phone calls btw meetings.

I am an assistant. My life is often stuffed into a bag and taken with me. For years I had been searching for a suitable replacement to my patagonia messenger bag that was discontinued. I used a Herschel bag that was okay but it didn’t afford me the space I needed.. This bag has all of the pockets and sections of the Herschel bag plus the extra cubic space to fit clothing, shoes, food, etc. It’s perfect for me. It might be a touch big if you aren’t 6’1, otherwise no negative feedback here.

Great backpack! I bought it a few months ago, so I can’t speak to longterm durability, but so far so good! I use it mainly for work. I needed something with plenty of organization for pens, electronics, granola bars, ID badge, etc. It doesn’t disappoint. I got it in Terracotta Brown, so I don’t notice the dust buildup that others have complained about. It’s comfortable and looks stylish, in a desert safari sort of way. It easily fits my 15″ MacBook Air in the zippered laptop compartment, along with my iPad mini. It fits under an airline economy seat, too, if you remove the water bottles. I don’t mind that the bag can’t stand up on its own, but I do wish there was a sternum strap for longer distances.

I have used this backpack for one day, and I can already tell that it will be an all-time favorite next to my old State bag. This is my first Fjllrven. The simplicity of the Knken was appealing to me, but I was concerned about not having pockets and compartments to organize all the things. The Rven has those and a sleek, minimal design. Its quality can be felt and seen. I went with the 28L because I often need both my laptop and tablet, 13 and 11 respectively. Mine is Deep Patina which, to my eye, is darker in person than the pics on the site.

I absolutely love this bag. Surprisingly, it feels smaller than what I’m used to, but it has better organization, and I can fit everything I need into a more compact space. As a math grad student, I need to carry my laptop, chargers, a couple of books, clipboard, paper, etc., and this holds it all easily. It’s comfortable, and the material feels very durable. I plan to wax it regularly to waterproof it as I live in one of the rainiest cities (and sometimes the actual rainiest) city in the US. Got rained on with it my first day of having it, and it protected my papers, books, laptop and electronics just fine, though you should always take extra precaution and wrap your laptop in plastic just in case, as I do.

I bought a medium size although their sizing told me that I am small. So I end up returning the delivered item. Exchanging item is so easy, just follow their instructions. Now that I got the right size, I’m excited to try it on when the weather gets colder. The jacket feels really soft and warm.

I absolutely love this backpack; It is sleek and has excellent organization options. Even though it states it fits a 15″ laptop in it’s dedicated laptop compartment, I easily fit my 16″ MacBook Pro IN it’s thick protective sleeve inside. I also ordered the Fjallraven Kanken Large Photo insert, and this also fits snugly inside the larger middle pocket. I am very happy with this purchase.

I’m a bit of a bag freak, I’ll admit that. I was “in need” of a new carry all for work. Every bag I have was lacking in the organization area. Every review I read put that as a great feature of this bag. Another feature that was mentioned was how it compressed when carrying less. I will affirm each. I love the material and the color.

I have had this backpack for over a year now and it literally looks like new. I have taken it on 3 different trips, 2 of which were overseas, and dont really have anything bad to say about it. Straps are super comfortable, fabric is very sturdy and for some reason it doesnt get dirty, zippers are smooth, very spacious compartments, both of my laptops fit in it (15.6 & 17.5), and its very light weight. Love the khaki color i got, and like that the logo is small and discreet. The bag holds a lot of weight just fine without any signs of distress. One thing I would change is that the open side pockets dont really fit my yeti water bottle cause the opening is not wide enough, but any bag I have tried from fjalraven is pretty much like that. Overall, its a great quality bag for the price and highly recommend it.

I got the black one for myself for school and I love it so much I’m getting my mom one because she’s a teacher. The 28L is a good size for a school bag and has many good pockets. The black does get dirty easily, and it’s very obvious when I accidentally brush against my dusty car. I have no other complaints, I’ve had my black on for a year and it’s held up well.

This backpack arrived used and worn. There was a crusty stain on the front, fraying/holes on the strap, and even a pair of someone else’s sunglasses in one of the pockets! I was completely disgusted and returned it. Hopefully they don’t send this backpack to you next!

I bought this a month ago for school, and it holds everything!! It is super spacious which is what I was looking for and I love the color! Its not a bad price for the great quality!

I bought my Raven in Oct 2021. With most people toting this as a buy it for life bag, I did not share that experience.
I like a few things about the bad. Good organization, the material is durable and comfortable on the shoulders.
Minor issues for me. It won’t stand up on it’s own. A luggage pass through would be nice. If your bag has stuff in the main compartment it gets difficult to use both beverage holders as they are not elastic banded.
Major issue is after 2 years one shoulder strap tore and made one strap unusable. It is a bit frustrating that I have spent significanlty lower amounts on bags that are still going.
Due to those issues I would not recommend this bag.

I got this to carry my heavy work laptop and other essentials it has helped my back pain as it is very sturdy and supportive. The chest straps can be a bit odd if you have specific upper body anatomy but you can adjust them to a certain extent . Looks very classy as well

I bought this product in June and you can see in the picture what happened in less than a month. I didnt take it to their store because I didnt go to work for almost 3 months and their store is right outside my work. Then when I went there and showed them, the employee was ready to replace but the manager said no and she offered to patch. I dont want patch because it will look horrible. Fjallraven generally makes great products but I have a bad experience with this backpack. I do not recommend it.

I had this backpack for years until it got stolen. It is the most functional backpack evertons of pockets, great capacity, and its nice-looking!
I came here to buy it again but then remembered its lacking in one key feature: a trolley sleeve or strap for carrying it on luggage. I will likely be looking for a bag that I can use for travel as well as day-to-day, which will be sad because I know I wont like it as much as this one.
