Madz –
Im 510 and the sleeves are a little short on me. Also the material is pretty stiff. Doesnt siit down next to your body and makes that shuffling noise when you walk.

This is a nice parka, it’s well made, feels nice on the inside, but strong and water resistant on the outside. The sizing runs normal for Fjallraven, which fits me slightly larger than other brands I wear. I’m 5’7” and 120lbs and bought xs, this fits well with room to layer a sweater and thermals if needed and still be comfortable.

Not in love. It is really snug and should order a size up and it was still tight. I would look for a different brand. On a positive note: I have gotten compliments on it

I found this coat to be true to size. I normally wear a size 2-4 in coats and purchased a small. It fits perfect, with room for a sweater underneath. The coat feels thin but it’s extremely warm. I love
the length and the double zipper which gives extra wiggle room when you climb up stairs. For size reference I am 5’7 130 lbs and 36b.

Finding a parka that doesn’t have a fur hood or isn’t “puffy” was really hard. I wanted something simpler and more tailored.
I love this jacket. The length, fit, and cut are excellent. I am 5’9″ and a typically a size 8/10. Being tall and having really long arms means that finding a coat that fits in the arms, shoulders, and is a decent length isn’t always easy. I initially purchased a large, which fit ok but seemed roomier than I needed, I ordered a medium and it’s perfect. Not tight, room for a sweater, cut well in the shoulders and the sleeves are still long enough to reach my hands (not my wrists).
The jacket is surprisingly light and small (it was folded up pretty small when it arrived), but it’s warm and comfortable. I’ve already purchased the Greenland wax to reapply at the end of the winter to keep it weather resistant.

I’ve tried on both the Small and the Medium but neither fit right. The small fits great on the waist but the hips are too tight, the medium fits the hips fine but then the waist is too loose. While you can adjust the waist by strap in the back, because this parka is still somewhat padded, cinching will look odd. Also, the sleeves are very long, which normally is an asset when it comes to keeping warm but the problem is the width of the sleeves which makes this parka’s proportion somewhat odd. Lastly, if you’re looking for a parka to keep you warm, this one is not it. You’ll be much warmer going for the Singi down or Singi insulated parka.

It is worth every penny! Material is amazing, it is clearly waterproof, but is it cotton! The silhouette make me look slim and more feminine. Love the real black color. All the pockets have zippers, so safe to carry small items. Keeps me warm, but not too hot. Perfect autumn-spring jacket.

Sleeves are a little long, but the coat is well tailored for a really nice fit

I have searched high and low for a winter jacket that wasn’t too puffy. This one is perfect, it’s on the lighter side but it blocks the wind and rain.

I like the coat, but all in all I returned it because the sleeves are a bit too long for me. I’d prefer a removable hood and also the zipper is not the best of quality. I’m 5’5″, 140# and bought a small. All fit except for the sleeves being long.

XXL is a little smaller than expected. Sleeves are very long, which is great for me since I’m 5’9”. Coat is great, thin and light but totally insulated well for cold weather.

Love the fit. Dress it until or down.

I had high hopes for this parka. First, I like that it’s not puffy, so it doesn’t make you look like a marshmallow. Second, I like the exterior material – it feels durable. Third, the sizing felt great – I’d consider myself a true medium, and this wasn’t right in the shoulders or too loose elsewhere – just right. However, it is very hard to see how this is a true winter jacket – I’d say it’s much more appropriate for a chilly fall day. I suppose you could layer, but for me, the mark of a truly good winter coat is one in which you can simply wear a long sleeved shirt and still feel warm. This isn’t it. Lastly, the zipper is a doozy. If it takes you a full 45 seconds to a minute to get the zipper right, something’s wrong. I’ve had a two-way zipper before (Patagonia Nano Puff Parka), and compared to that, the zipper just doesn’t work well and is frustrating every time you try to get the parka zipped up. PS, if you’re petite, the sleeves will be quite long. Looks ok tucked under but of course, that’s a hassle each time you put on/take off the coat.

I LOVED this coat; unfortunately had to return it because the S was just a little too big but the XS was a touch too small. Very cute coat, though. Perfect weight for chilly but not freezing weather, and not overly puffy. The back dips a little lower than the front and it has cute waistband in the back that adds a little more character than your average black parka.

I purchased this parka in Acorn (a color like “dirty mustard yellow/dirty golden color”) for Autumn and mild/temperate winter last year. I loved how light this parka was, and was not so puffy making me (a short 5 foot tall, with broad shoulders) look like a marshmallow or that cartoon figure that sells tires. The elastic strap in the back helped to show off that I do have hips, and makes me look a bit more slim. I wore this all Autumn and Winter long, and was comfortable. It even took the rain which is common place during this season where I live…however, I was not standing outside in the rain for too long as this jacket is not waterproof or windproof, only resistant.
I was a bit concerned about the thin insulation as it seems fine for Autumn, but what about Winter. Since the past winter was pretty mild, I was able to wear this parka until mid Spring here in Seattle. Though I wouldn’t wear this in more colder Winter locations, such as Denver. The inside of this jacket is really smooth, so all of my inner layers easily moved in/out without a struggle. I always love the fact the Fjallraven also adds insulation to the hood, which makes it very comfortable to wear. The pockets are slightly higher in the middle of the parka, just wasn’t awkward to put my hands in to warm them. The chest pockets were amazing! Not only very handy (with an inner chest pocket), but deep! I accidentally forgot that I had put in my disposable chopsticks after my friend and I were eating lunch out in the chilly park (due to Covid at the time of writing this review), and I had it in the chest pocket the entire day, including driving! It didn’t even jab into my chest or create a hole in the pocket! Plus the pockets came in handy as I have not wanting to use a purse during Covid (easier to wash and wax this jacket than a purse with leather and canvas which was spot clean only).
The downside for me is that due to being so short, this parka comes down to my knees instead of upper to mid thigh. So at times, I make use of the double zipper, and unzip it a bit so I can sit down to drive or more movement when needed. Being short, the sleeves are really long, but I look on it as a way to never need a gloves, LOL!
Overall, this parka is great, but really do your research on this parka before purchasing!

I usually wear an xs but after reading the reviews got a small which fit well. The only thing I didn’t like is that the sleeves were so long . I also decided I didn’t want the navy. It’s made in a yellow color but zappos didn’t have it. The fit is perfect other than the sleeves. It’s a little tapered but not tight. The hood is also not removable which I didn’t like. But it’s not bulky which I wanted for when the weather isn’t freezing cold.

The jacket fit great! I am tall and slim (5’9, typically XS tops) and ordered the XS. It fit pretty similar to the model, it’s not fitted but didn’t feel too boxy either. I like the length and fabric. Like other reviewers have said, it’s not very warm. Either I got a defective one or there are some serious design flaws. The hood does have a drawstring but it doesn’t seem to lock in an intuitive manner and the pockets have a zipper but it’s offset so they don’t actually close.
Bree –
A little tight on the hip but a good fit overall.

My 29 year old daughter loves this. She wore it for a walk on a seven degree windy day and was not cold at all. And it looks very stylish.
John –
A lot of Monday for a coat with pockets that have cheap, CHEAP zippers. I have spent easily $2000.00 on 4 jackets and the zippers are horrible. I would say the coats are great but the zippers make me want to return every coat I have purchased.

Scotland in April. Perfect coat every kind of weather. Never been happier w a purchase.
LaurelB –
Wonderful parka that was great for colder New England weather. The sleeves were a bit long when I was wearing a large, but after weight loss, elected to buy a smaller size as I liked the winter proof so much. Did great in winter weather.

I live in the PNW and bought this for fall/winter. I absolutely LOVE the mustard yellow. It’s a very rich color. I would say it runs juuuust a little small. I’m 5’5, 170lbs, 38 DD, & usually wear an XL. I sized up to XXL so I could fit sweaters underneath & I’m glad I did because it fits perfectly other than the sleeves being a little long. The sleeves go down to my knuckles, but I prefer that because I hate wearing gloves. It’s fits tighter in chest/shoulders but plenty of room in waist/arms/butt. Has ladjustable hood. It’s a tad longer towards the back of your legs which is nice if you’ll be sitting out on a park bench or something to keep your pants dry. It’s a tiny bit stiff & makes a whoosh whoosh sound so keep that in mind. The pockets are a generous size compared to other brands. There’s a zippered pocket on one side of the chest that could easily fit your phone, car keys, some cash, and like a protein bar on the go. $350 seems a bit pricey. I’d say similar jackets of other brands are more like $250 range. Hope this helps.

So glad I have this coat. I live in SE Tennessee so winters are more mild than my original home in the Midwest, but the fit allows me to layer so I’m confident even during my travels this jacket is a one stop shop.
I bought a large. I’m 5’2″, 34J and usually wear a M/L top, size 12. The large fits perfectly, again, with enough room to layer a sweatshirt or sweater underneath comfortably. It doesn’t look too big without the extra layer under it either. My ONLY super slight complaint is that the sleeves are way too long (which is a common complaint for me). If they were an inch shorter it would be completely perfect, but I think the cut of the coat is such that they’re meant to be longer anyway. It’s a specific thing for us shorter folks and it’s not anything to make or break the jacket for me personally. I went out of my way to pay full price for it just to get the color I wanted (it was on sale at a wholeseller but didn’t have the Acorn color in stock any more), which isn’t something I do often. I’ve had similar coats that cost less but didn’t fit as well, and the versatility, adaptability adjustability, potential longevity of this jacket makes it worth every penny.

I bought a size a little big so I would have space to layer underneath it. But when I wear it with no layering underneath and sit in my car, the zipper splits in the middle. I can force the zipper down and repair it, but its disappointing that Fjallraven went cheap on materials to save a little money on a coat that they charge $300 for. This has zipper issue has happened twice already and Ive only worn it a handful of times. I would hope Fjallraven would do recalls and put proper zippers in their coats. The arms are too long as described by other reviewers, but I figured I could cuff them and maybe appreciate arms that cover my hands on a cold hike. The shape of the coat is flattering. If only they hadnt decided to reduce their quality. Ive loved their products for years but am now thinking I should look to other brands who arent compromising quality.
