For me, perfect size for on the go items. I also purchased the Fjällräven Kånken Hip Pack as another option but returned it. Its material is very stiff and crinkly. I was not a fan and it was an easy choice between the two. I would purchase the Ulvo again.
Lenab –
Amazing hip pack, stylish, comfortable and lightweight.
Very happy with this purchase!

Especially well designed for men and the outdoors. Of course women would like it too, especially when waterproof is a plus. It’s larger than I wanted but quality material and workmanship. Love the muted mustard color! Though the description sites the easy zipper, I find the zipper loud and a bit challenging to use. Great logo and smart to make it reflective. I don’t think the non-removable strap would feel good on skin though it is long enough to be a shoulder or crossbody bag as well as a fanny pack.

Nice fit. Felt secure on! Great quality.

Perfect! Love the fit. Room for all my essentials too! A good buy for sure. Well worth the money!

The zipper is very loud; not possible to access it quietly, even if you’re being super slow; this deserves minus three stars, though the rest of the quality makes up for it. It’s a good size — not small, not giant; nice blue color, quality build, comfortable. Love that it’s waterproof (untested). Really wish the zipper were quiet[er].

My new great dog walking pack. It’s comfortable around my waist and easily carries everything needed with 2 small bottles of water, bags, cell phone, key – and I still have room for more if needed. Love it

This hip pack is perfect for my daily run. At first, I was concerned it would move around or chafe. A lot of runners online said any kind of fanny pack is uncomfortable when running. But I took a chance for this slightly more stylish bag, and with the hope that it can be used for more than just running. It stayed in place, very comfortably, for a 25 minute run. I didn’t have to readjust it at all. However, I’m sure if you packed it full of items, this would be different. I’m using this because my female shorts do not have pockets for my keys. And if I put my keys into say a fleece pull over pocket, they jiggle and I end up taking them out and running with them in my hands. Not anymore! I slip them into the secure back pocket with no jiggle at all. I also like being able to put my phone inside it when I’m walking home after my run.
The material is fabulous, as expected. I have two backpacks from Fjallraven. The quality never disappoints, and is worth the cost. I ran water over the bag in the sink, and I was delighted by the water rolling off it. Someone on here complained about the zipper. I’m not sure what there is to complain about- it’s just a zipper. It opens very easily while running, and it’s not overly loud compared to anything else I own that has a zipper. If I have one complaint, it’s the length of the excess band. I’m pretty petite in the waist, so there is definitely extra room, and the excess band kind of awkwardly lays off to the side. I have to tuck it in behind my back to hide it, though this really isn’t an issue. I can just let it hang loose and it doesn’t affect use. I understand these packs are made for everyone of every size, so I’m okay with it!
Thanks for another great pack, Fjallraven! I’m positive I’ll have it for a long time.

What a great bag! I was looking for something lightweight, well made, and appealing to the eye. This checks all boxes. I mainly use this bag for my daily walks. Due to its lightweight construction, I hardly know I am wearing it after a few minutes. Its great to travel with as well! I am able to fit my phone, wallet, wireless earbuds case, and keys with a little room for another small item if necessary. I’ve worn it almost everyday for about a month now and it still looks brand new. Highly recommend this for anyone in the market for a bag of this nature. I think I have the Fjallraven bug now, I’m looking at their other bags too!
Note: I purchased the navy color and it looks great. Well done, Fjallraven!

The medium Hip Pack is perfect, I have been looking for some time for a hip pack that would accommodate both my wallet and my sunglasses in their case with room to spare for little extras. It is comfortable to wear around my hip and across my chest, I am pleased with the red color. I see myself using this daily and for travel.

-true to size, if not slightly less, but not enough to go a size down.
-it’s very light, so I wouldn’t recommend it to keep you warm if it’s very cold outside, but great for indoors. I use it primarily in my home office which is always cold for some reason.
-The yellow draw cords are a nice touch of color on an otherwise monotone look.
-great construction quality, but that is to be expected with Fjallraven.

Adjustable so unless you are over 250 lbs, you can use this. Holds a fair amount- wallet, sunglasses, cell phone, a small brush or large comb. It has an invisible pocket that sits against your body when you wear it.
Very handy-cleans up well since the first time I used it I went out for a very juicy burger and dripped juice on it. Used a damp sponge and some dish soap and it cleaned right up. Sort of a stiff canvas fabric.
Jenn –
Really liked it! The red is a bright “life-guard” red. I bought it for a trip where we’ll be kayaking/hiking in the rainforest and I needed somewhere to easily access my prescription sunglasses and store a few medications. It’s got a pocket on the back/side that faces your body that’s just big enough for an iPhone SE/8 in a slim case, and the interior definitely fits my sunglasses in their case, plus keys and a few misc items. The strap is long enough to wear as a cross body or around your waist and it has a nice band around it to keep excess strap tucked away. Two thumbs up!

Size is great. Seems bigger than 2L.

Super cute and just the right size.

I love this bag! It fits so much for a hip pack. I use it for days when I’m out and about in NYC and on trips. The interior mesh pouch is great and so is the back little zipped compartment.

I did a lot of comparing of waist bags (volume, measurements, and weight) before ordering this waist pack. I have been very happy daily using Arc’teryx’s Mantis 1 – one liter in volume. Preparing for a trip, however, realized I needed a larger version that would fit a couple of individually wrapped N95 masks in addition to my cell phone (in a case), passport, and any boarding papers. The next size up in the Mantis is 2.5 liters – a little too big (mostly in the height) for what I wanted. I wanted a wider one but not necessarily higher or deeper (and not too heavy) – so it would easily fit under a zipped jacket and I could wear it without fatigue from its weight. The Ulvö Hip Pack Medium met all my requirements! The fit etc.: exactly as described/advertised. The color (Lava): what I hoped for (sometimes colors on screens can be deceiving). I’ll continue to use my Mantis 1 daily but the Fjallraven is definitely my go to for travel.

Size is great for a walk or a whole day of errands. The strap length is very generous as well as adjustable. I was a bit worried about being a size 16 & busty but it’s perfectly comfortable. I like that it’s waterproof already. Great bag all around.

Great bag, holds quite a bit of stuff. Zipper action is a little on the difficult side. I would buy it again.

My go-to grab and go bag. Roomy and discrete.

Perfect for short hikes I can fit a bottle of water, my phone, keys, ID.

This hip pack is really well made, super comfortable, and waterproof to all intents and purposes. It is not bulky or blocky at all. It’s actually quite soft. It has a good level of organization. It’s the perfect size for an individual adult to carry around their daily stuff in (phone, wallet, keys) with a ton of room to spare.
